Maybelline black shock gel eyeliner | blogmas day 13

Anyone that knows me will know how much i love my winged eyeliner, i rarely leave the house without a slick of black liner and lashings of mascara.

I have never tried a gel liner like this before, I think it is similar to the benefit liner where you click the bottom to get some product onto the applicator.

  I’m not sure why i need my eyeliner to last for 36 hours but hopefully it will last through 9-5.
  The applicator is angled, this picture is of it with product in it ready to go on the eye (or hand for a swatch). I was concerned that this would just go on as a big blob on my eye and would be controllable to make into a wing and thin line above the lash line, however it goes on really nicely. It glides on without dragging at the lid at all.  A good matte black liner that gives an opaque finish.

I was a little rusty with this as I’ve never used this kind of applicator before but i really like this eyeliner and after a few uses will surely have a sharper result.

It has now been all day since I put this on and it hasn’t budged at all, overall I’m very impressed with this eyeliner and it may have to be a repurchase.

Travel makeup setup | Blogmas day 11

Every weekend I escape the student house horrors and stay at the boyfriends house for some proper relax time. On weekend mornings I tend to do my makeup sat next to him on his desk while he plays cod or FIFA, it’s a lovely set up to spend time doing our hobbies next to eachother plus he can make sure my eyeliner is even. 

  
Although we do chat I also like to put on the latest episode of Russell Howard’s good news for some morning giggles. I’m also sat directly infront of a window so the natural lighting is perfect to see that everything is blended as it should be. 

The makeup bag is from ted baker and was a Christmas present last year.

Drugstore everyday eye look | blogmas day 8

Today i went into university to sit the second to last test before christmas followed by house viewings for where we are going to live next year, I’m going to be living in a group of all boys.  From my palette i made of all MUA shadows I used the middle shade on the top row a matte dark cream shade, they have changed the colour naming system from numbers to words since i bought this. These shadows are great quality for only £1 each. I used this as a base shade all over the eyelid.
  Then i used the trusty I need to wash my brushes eyeshadow stick from barry M in gold, again I love this but used to have the black one which was awful so maybe a hit and miss with the different colours.  Hello acne scars on my cheeks and terribly done eyebrows, this picture was taken at the end of wearing this all day so it shows how the shadow has stayed in place. I don’t cover my whole lid in the gold i just take it above the lash line and the inner corners for a pop of brightness, this makes it look like I got three more hours of sleep than i did in reality.

Maybelline colour drama

I’m going to start off by saying I love these.  

   

They are so velvety on your lips And last for hours and hours without much need for top ups, I reccomend these so much. With the high pigmentation there isn’t much else you would want from a lip product.

FOTD date night

Tonight is finally date night after a lot of having to rearrange due to conflicting schedules and a father falling off a roof!
I went with a not too much and not too little look with wings so perfect an angel would cry, one went amazing but the second had to have some adjusting done but was fixed.
I focused on my eyes as any lipstick will go straight into him which is something I like to avoid.
I used my trusty and fave maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold all over my lid, I love this because it lasts all day and the colour really compliments my blue eyes.
Then I did my wing with my running out master precise liner pen and tightlined with master drama, both from maybelline. Master drama is my fave khol liner, but I prefer the colourstay pen liner by rimmel.
Then I took my naked palette and used creep to blend up from my wing into my crease, very lightly to add more definition to my eyes. For a night out id make the wing thicker and add more of the black in my crease.

FOTD cranberry and gold

I’ve recently been wearing this makeup look everyday, alternating between plain winged eyes and a red lip.
I use my maybelline 24h gel liner with an angled brush to do my wings, best thing about the angled brush is you can just stamp the wing on and it’s easy peasy!

Then from my sleek storm palette I use the dark cranberry colour from the end of the top row all over my lid, then take the gold fourth from the left on the top row and apply it on the inner corner of my eye and then the inner half of my lids. Then I pile on lashings of mascara, at the moment I’m loving benefit bad gal lash

Sorry for the wet hair but I didn’t have time to photograph after I had done my hair as I rushed out. On my lips I just have benefit hoola lipgloss which tastes amazing!
This look is subtle enough for daytime but is still fun and has impact.

What’s in my overnight makeup bag

So it’s for 3 days and I’m not leaving my house, but I’ve had to start packing all of my main makeup boxes away so I put together a makeup bag to tide me over until I get to set it all up again when I get back to Uni.
My makeup bag is from primark and I love it so much, you can fit so much in there!!

For my face I kept the basics of;
Moisturiser, Clinique anti blemish solutions foundation, the porefessional, benefit high beam, urban decay naked flushed palette, collection lasting perfection concealer, rimmel stay matte concealer, MUA eyeshadow for my brows, and natural collection powder.

For my eyes I went with my favourite product at the moment my maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold, my mac palette in infatuating rose, benefit bad gal and they’re real mascaras along with my new rimmel volume flash, another eyeshadow is the l’oreal colour infailliable in burning black, for eyeliners I have revlon colourstay liquid eye pen and maybelline master drama, and finally the urban decay primer potion.

For lip products I only picked a couple, a revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in 015 cherish, revlon colour burst laquer balm in 135 provocateur, benefit hoola lip gloss and the old trusty Vaseline rosy lips.

FOTD easter weekend

I love this neutral look with hits of colour peaking out, and the shimmers lighting up when the sun hits my face.
